Coal in this company's stocking BAH HUMBUG!

"Dear SEO Customer,

Your monthly activity is available to review.
While in your account, please  review your profile content to ensure it is complete.  Keep your profile up to date - the more information you put in your profile, the higher you're likely to rank in local and major search engine results (and more likely to be chosen by someone searching)." This Scrooge wants you to get additional hits and you will pay for them.  Shame on them, they are marketing themselves as the expert in this field.  They promise they will do all the work for you. Yet they clearly are holding you responsible ... great escape clause for them when you don't get the hits they promised ...  oh, you didn't read that last sentence?  Bah Humbug!

This company is charging initial set-up fees, monthly fees, and charging you for the words they want you to include! How many companies are charging for this service, which I handle for my clients as they cannot be expected to understand this complex process and understand the lingo spoken? How many "Dear Santa letters" do you receive asking for help on this subject?

This company is claiming to be the best Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click company
.
Who is the Scrooge behind this company?  BTW -You also have a contract with the Grinch for the same thing! You didn't know as you were pressured and uneducated.

Organic, custom designed Search Engine Optimization custom designed for your website are legitimate. You no longer have to work with Scrooge or Grinch as you don't feel educated.  Cut your loses NOW.  I will be happy to advise you on this ways you can be wiser in your company's budget for 2010!  Cathe

DowneySidekc.org Adoption for older children

I met Cheryl Graves at a network group of Professional Women.  Downey Side Adoption KC was having a silent / live auction fund-raiser last month.  www.DowneySidekc.org  cgraves@DowneySide.org   I met with the person who bid on the time I had donated for the auction.  My job allows me to meet the best people who are doing remarkable things just because "it should be this way".  I just want to educate everyone about websites so you can make the correct decision.  I have the honor of working with Downey Side Adoption in 2010.

Cathe:

Thank you very much for all the advice you shared with me.  I went home and immediately bought domain names from Register.com.  Since I decided to create a website a couple of months ago, I have done a lot of research on-line and solicited advice from many individuals.  For pure, concentrated usefulness, the two hours with you were the best. I really appreciate your help.  Thank you very much.  Mrs. C

Mrs. C will have a wonderul program for non-profits.  It's great when everyone cares, shares and gives.  Cathe

Wishing for a new website from Santa?

Your website forms the world's first impression of you and your business!

  • Does your website open within seconds?
  • Is your website content accurate?
  • Are you getting results on your website?
  • How can you check to view the hits?
  • Are your website content and your marketing materials consistent?

If your answers to the above questions are not positive then you should consider making a positive change for 2010.

My website is being held hostage!

Many people are very savvy that they need to have a website.  Number 1:  purchase your domain name yourself.  When I work with a client, I will help you create a domain name, I will help you transfer your domain name, AND YOU ARE THE OWNER OF THE DOMAIN NAME … not me.  Do not let anyone purchase your domain for you.  However, some times domain names are sold to resellers with out your knowledge.  They then are the owner of your domain name.  You may have purchased from a legitimate site … their business practices may have changed.  For over 6 years I have transferred domain names for clients.  A client of mine was very patient, much more patient than I, with a local hosting company reseller would not release the domain name after 6 weeks.  Legally, the transfer process can only take 5-8 business days.  There are only 6 laws that govern websites.  When you purchase a domain name, legally your domain cannot be transferred for 60 days.  This is for your protection.   If you want a biz domain and website, if you are exchanging money or accepting donations, please use www.Register.com. I’m not a reseller for Register.com.  I’m a free-lance webmaster.  I always provide a free consultation.  I smiled when I sat down with someone new and I had ran a Who Is and knew if they legally owned their domain or not.  Tip of the Day:  purchase your domain name yourself.  Contact me if you have any questions.  Cathe

I'm so frustrated with my website Tip of the Day

Those are the first words I hear when I meet with a potential client, when I'm networking and I've told them I am a web master and when someone calls me as you referred them to me.  Thank You!

The purpose of my website is to educate you.  It’s full of information for you.  I want to provide information so you are better educated when you interview your potential web master.  A web master is highly skilled in the latest technology to
ensure your website loads quickly … and that only begins when you are wanting a new website or website make-over.

Ok, you need a website designed.  Then what?  Who is your website designer?  A website designer is a designer.  That is their expertise.  This is one part of the process.  I hope you're researching everyone.  With today’s work situation, the best IT provider is that … Their expertise is IT support. While I am a web master, I’m not qualified to do my own IT support. Unfortunately, the website Industry has a bad image. Most of my clients come away from using someone who needed quick income.  Please check out my website for questions you should ask.  Also another tip:  check out their website.  If it’s blank and says coming soon … not a good sign.  No Portfolio or testimonials.
Look at the email address.  Is it yahoo or gmail ... not a good sign.

Now who are you going to use to get your website launched to the Internet? I will go into the remaining steps your website will need to follow to get your hits in my daily Blog.

Tip of the Day …  a bad website is harmful to your biz!  I’d rather see website coming soon … more importantly so would those clients you lost with a website that does not work!
